When a business is facing cash flow problems, there are various methods that can be used to solve the problem. Business liquidation should always be seen as a last resort. This is because in asset liquidation there is no going back, the decision is final.
The alternatives open to a business owner are almost similar to those available for individuals facing bankruptcy. You can contact all the business’s creditors and try and work out a payment plan that will not involve the law.
You can use strategies that are purely for business purpose. The business owner can decide to hire an expert who will take care of the business liquidation. Funds acquired from the process will then be used to offset loans.
Another alternative is going into receivership. This is usually the best option for a company that has orders that can help solve the cash flow crisis. The receiver comes in by freeing some of the assets and thus helping the business recover from its shortages.
